Starcamper 5 is a lightweight, easy to erect 5 man tent that has bags of room for all the family. 

 

Unfortunately the Starcamper 5 has been discontinued for 2009 but we have some great alternatives.  If it is a 5 man tent you are after with the same Outdoor Revolution quality we suggest the Outdoor Revolution Scenic VRX 5.0i.  If you would prefer the Starcamper range then the Starcamper 4 and the Starcamper 6 are both still available.

 

Outdoor Revolution has taken a great deal of care in designing this 5 man tent. Like the Starcamper 4, the Starcamper 5 has a retro look with a mocha swirl that makes it practical yet spacious to use and has many features that are normally reserved for more expensive technically designed tents. The classic design gives the sought after space that most families strive to achieve when looking for a new 5 man tent.

 

The Starcamper 5 is much larger than the Starcamper 4 and comes with the added feature of a removeable off set bedroom and smaller room which is perfect for storage or as a play area. 

 

Internally and unlike many other 5 person tents, the groundsheet is sewen in and the sleeping area is an all in one full section with a divider to separate the living area.

 

Again as part of the design, each pegging point is reinforced for strength and longevity and with a full veranda style front door and 'D' shaped side door, you can't want for any more from such a great value tent.

How Strong is it?

 

Each pole is made from pre-bent steel Fibreglass which gives great strength and allows for plenty of headroom. 

 

How easy is the Starcamper to erect and take down? 

 

The Starcamper 5 fits on any pitch and is easy to erect. The poles are colour coded and the pole sleeves are short making it very easy to put up. Supplied as part of the kit is an easy fit bag for quick pack up. 

What is the tent made of? 

 

Outdoor Revolution has made this 5 man tent using the same material they developed for their Caravan Awnings. The tent itself is made from  RevTex 3000 which is a fully waterproof yet breathable fabric. Internally, the inner is also made from a breathable material which reduces sweating.

 

The Starcamper 5 is from the same family of tents as the Starcamper 3 which won the prestigious Guardian Newspapers Camping supplement Award last year.
